HSE Campaigns:

In line with the HSE policies of the Egyptian Petroleum Sector, and due to the fact that HSE campaigns is extremely important issue therefore Egyptian Maintenance Company Management carries out special HSE campaigns for enhancing the awareness related to different hazards which may have significant frequency rates and may lead to accident that lead to major life or equipment loss.
These campaigns are implemented in parallel to the Company HSE program. Those campaigns displayed in all the EMC departments, Areas & projects work locations.

Off The-Job Safety Campaign: This campaign was implemented in all the EMC departments, Areas & projects work locations in the period from forth of June till eleventh of July 2007.

Bird Flu Awareness Campaign: This campaign was implemented in all the EMC departments, Areas & projects work locations in the period from 25th till 6th February 2008.

Burns First Aid Awareness Campaign: This campaign was implemented in all the EMC departments, Areas & projects work locations in the period from 2nd till 6th March 2008.
This campaign was conducted by Specialized doctor in burns treatment.

Near Miss reporting Awareness Campaign: This campaign was implemented in all the EMC departments, Areas & projects work locations in the period from 13th of May 2008 till 22nd of May 2008.

New traffic law Awareness Campaign: This campaign was implemented in all the EMC departments, Areas & projects work locations in the period from 22nd of July 2008 till 24th of July 2008.

Defensive driving Awareness Campaign (refreshment): This campaign was implemented in all the EMC departments, Areas & projects work locations in the period from 21st of February 2009 till 26th of February 2009.

HSE Training:

HSE Training is an important part of the culture of EMC in order to implement international standards of behavior and to undertake tasks safely. Knowledge of what constitutes safe behavior is not inherited, but must be acquired.
HSE training is the one of important elements of loss prevention program therefore, each site of EMC projects put tremendous efforts on conducting suitable, high quality training program which suit all the management levels and technicians which are forming different maintenance teams of each specific project.

The main objectives of training are:

• To achieve competence (the ability to carry out a task or job adequately and on safely way).
• To increase the HSE awareness of the project employees on safe handling of their jobs.
• Provide the trainee with the information necessary for his safety in respect of the hazards that may be encountered at various stages of his work.
• To enhance the employees' awareness related to the hazard assessment especially that related to the maintenance critical tasks.

To meet the above objectives HSE training plan prepared in accordance with staff needs that defined within training logbook and career development.
The execution of the said plan is carried out according to EMC, training & awareness procedure.
HSE training subjects and methods may be varied as follows:

• HSE Indoctrination training for newly hired employees.
• HSE morning sessions for technicians in which the dead times for preparing the required work permits are used for HSE short time training sessions.
• Detailed HSE awareness training for management staff, supervisors and Maintenance disciplines.
• Out of the company HSE training.
