I would like to express my gratitude to His Excellency, and the Board of Directors along with all EMC
employees for the distinguished role throughout the years, that leads all of us proudly celebrating 25
years of commitment, showing confidence & honor that EMC belongs to the Oil & Gas Sector in
Egypt, which is one of the main pillars that supports Egypt Economic Growth & Vision 2030.

EMC’s strategy is focusing on sustainable development, and is keen to adopt this valuable culture
in the company’s daily operations and spread it among all the company’s executives and employees.
Thus, EMC develops accordingly its compliance system and supports public accountability and
transparency in relevance with EMC policies & procedures in each of the four issue areas; Human
Rights, Labor, Environment & Anti-Corruption, as well as measures the outcome of its actions
towards them.

Furthermore, I would like to confirm our commitment and compliance to the United Nations Global
Compact with its related ten principles and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, in which we issued
the upgraded version of EMC Strategic Program “WE CARE” to match effectively and efficiently
with the SDGS, The 5Ps of sustainable development and EESG approach.

“WE CARE” is determined now with 3Ss & 3Cs instead of 2Ss & 2Cs, to include and assure our
commitment towards “Shareholders, Society, Suppliers, Clients, Colleagues and Climate”
